Well, I made it :D

It worked quite well- not quite as pouffy as the original (I didn't have a big enough hoopskirt) and I didn't have time for ALL the decoration on the bodice, but I got the sleeves right, those weird, double-puff 80s sleeves, and the fabric is GORGEOUS- a crinkle organza, it's shimmery and beautiful.

I can't wait to see the photos from the ball...

Alas, there was no Goblin King, but they actually played 'As the World Falls Down', and a very lovely gentleman asked me to dance! I danced at a ball to the very song that the dress was created for in the first place... *sigh* I'm so happy...
